WHAT YOU NEED
THIS PATTERN CALLS FOR TWO YARN WEIGHTS, REFERRED TO AS A AND B THROUGHOUT THE PATTERN.
You can use any yarn weights you like, just make sure you get the right fit. GAUGE: Attire SC 44 = Doll SC 34
The attire requires a thinner yarn weight and a looser tension than the doll.
In addition to the original sized doll portrayed in this pattern, I have listed some possible yarn weight options below. Yarn weights, amount of yarn and hook sizes may vary according to your tension and personal preference.

A yarn: LACE (0), crochet hook: 12/6 (1.00 mm)
B yarn: SEWING THREAD (0), crochet hook: 12 (0.60 mm) = 8” (20 cm)

A yarn: SUPER FINE (1), crochet hook: B/1 (2.50 mm)
B yarn: LACE (0), crochet hook: 4/0 (1.75 mm) = 13.2” (33 cm)
UP-SIZED
A yarn: MEDIUM (4), crochet hook: G (4.00 mm)
B yarn: LIGHT (3), crochet hook: C (3.00 mm) = 16” (45 cm)
SUPER SIZED
A yarn: BULKY (5), crochet hook: J/10 (6.00 mm)

WHAT I HAVE USED – ORIGINAL SIZED DOLL
Yarn brand & thickness
A yarn: SUPER FINE (1) Hobbii Yarn: Rainbow Cotton, 8/4, 50 g (1.76 oz) = 170 m (186 yds).
B yarn: LACE (0) Hobbii Yarn: Rainbow Lace Mercerized Cotton crochet thread size 10, 50 g (1.75 oz) = 280 m (308 yds).
Yarn amounts used & color codes
You can pick any colors you want for this project. However, this is what I have used.
A yarn #1 color: 45 g (1.58 oz) Anthracite grey (010) – Body and head & arms.
A yarn #2 color: 20 g (0.71 oz) Black (009) – Hoofs and horns.
A yarn #3 color: 5 g (0.17 oz) Sunny Yellow (055) – Eyes.
B yarn #4 color: 30 g (1.05 oz) Pearl Grey (073) – Vest and pants.
B yarn #5 color: 20 g (0.71 oz) Natural White (002) – Shirt, hands and lace details.
Tools & other materials
Hook size 2.50 mm (B/1) and 1.75 mm (4/0).
Scissors.
Needle.
Stitch markers.
Fiber filling.
2 x 0.15”(4 mm) beads for the shirt.
1 x 0.23” (6 mm) button for the pants.
Strong steel wire, gauge 18 (1.02mm).
Pliers to bend and cut the wire.
Paper tape to wrap the wire.
Water and 10 pins to block the fingers.
A chopstick to help fill up the narrow part of the legs.
