You can use any yarn weight you like, just make sure to use the same weight for both the stem and cap.
This pattern is ideal for scrap yarn, since these toadstools are indeed tiny.
WHAT YOU NEED
Red and white yarn:
I have used fingering (8/4) / 4 ply: 50 g (1.75 oz) = 170 m (186 yds) and a 2.5 mm hook.
Adjust hook size to your chosen yarn weight. When using (4 ply yarn) the toadstools are approximately 2.5” (6.2 cm) in diameter and varies from 2” (2.5 cm) to 4” (10 cm) in height.
Gold thread:
Lace weight / 2 ply: 50 g (1.75 oz) = 280 m (308 yds)
OTHER:
Scissors.
Needle.
Fiber filling.
