THIS PATTERN CALLS FOR TWO YARN WEIGHTS, REFFERED TO AS A AND B THROUGHOUT THE PATTERN.
You can use any yarn weights you like, just make sure you use the same yarn weight for the entire doll’s body and hat. And a lighter weight for the dress and lacework.
In addition to the original sized doll portrayed in this pattern, I have listed some possible yarn weight options below. Yarn amount and hook sizes may vary according to your personal preference.
CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
Approximate (rounded) sizes of the doll from the top of the head to the tip of the toe // Hook sizes (metric)
GAUGE FOR ALL: Dress SC 25 = Doll SC 20
TINY A Lace weight – 1.00 mm hook // B sewing thread. – 0.6 mm hook = 8” (20 cm)
*ORIGINAL A Fingering (8/4) – 2.00 mm hook // B lace weight – 1.75 mm hook = 10” (25 cm)
UP-SIZED A Worsted weight – 4.00 mm hook // B sock weight – 2.50 mm hook = 16” (45 cm)
SUPER SIZED A Bulky yarn – 6.00 mm hook // B DK. – 4.50 mm hook = 25” (65 cm)

A yarn: Fingering (8/4): 50 g (1.75 oz) = 170 m (186 yds) – Body color, white, black, dark and light orange.
B yarn: Lace weight: 50 g (1.75 oz) = 280 m (308 yds) – Black and white.
Hooks:
Doll: 2.00

B yarn: Black approximately 50 g.
B yarn: White approximately 40 g.
Doll:
A yarn: Body color approximately 25 g per doll without color changing. I made 2 dolls from one skein.
B yarn: Lace weight for lingerie ruffles: 15 g.
Head:
A yarn: Approximately 12 g.
Hat:
A yarn: 10 g.
B yarn: 12 g (for the lace)
TOOLS & OTHER MATERIALS
Wire, for the arms and legs, to make them poseable.
Chopstick (or other tool) to help fill the arms and legs.
Strong pliers.
20 stitch markers.
Scissors.
Needle.
Fiber filling.
Black buttons for eyes. Original sized 0.47” (12 mm.)
FINISHING DETAILS
Ribbon for adding bows to the shoes and chest. Original sized 0.23” (6 mm.)
3 small black pearls for extra finish.
